The SAE 80W-90 viscosity grade makes it the primary lubrication choice for most of the lower gear case or inboard/outboard stern drive which specifies a SAE 90 viscosity grade.</p> <p> SHIPMATE High Performance Lower Unit Gear Lubricant SAE 80W-90 is specially formulated to provide extra protection against scuffing and wear for extended life for marine stern drives. Also compounded with antitrust and corrosion additives, plus a new "clean gear" additive technology which reduces deposits.
