PCI Educational Publishing Reading Program is level 2 scientifically research-based reading program for students who have intellectual disabilities that turns non-readers into successful readers. Level two uses the same five-step cycle which was introduced in level one but differentiates in teaches words in groups of ten rather than five and includes 14 full-color books in both print and software editions, one for every ten words learned. Book ranges the length from 12 - 16 pages that moves from one paragraph per page up to three paragraphs per page and features different character in everyday setting typically. Book teaches 140 additional words that enables students from a 1 to a 2 -2.5 reading level while being focus on teaching words through visual discrimination that introduces students to wrapped text, common inflectional endings such as -s, -ing, -ed and compound words. Core programs in each book, binder provides a reading comprehension lesson with activities for both pre and post reading along with a reproducible assessment, four reproducible activities are provided for each book.
