PCI Educational Publishing Complete Reading Program is level 3 scientifically research-based reading program for students who have intellectual disabilities that turns non-readers into successful readers. Level 3 in. troduces lesson cycle has new genres of non fiction, poetry, integrates comprehension seamlessly, writing and fluency skills to students and this level provides learning implements higher-order comprehension skills along with practicing fluency, writing allowing students to get mature as readers as well as writers. Program features a uniquely scaffolded introduction to phonics that expands the success-based, controlled-vocabulary approach from Levels one and two allowing students to learn of word analysis, word building and decoding. Program provides writing opportunities through the write and read workbooks along with fluency activities and assessments are integrated into each unit. programs conducts unit tests allowing teachers to monitor all aspects of reading progress that includes both decoding and comprehension questions. Based on an analysis of the types of questions on alternative state assessments, comprehension skills along with setting, main idea, cause and effect were selected. Fiction books features middle school- and high school-age students in contemporary settings have a variety of outstanding illustrations where as non fiction books extends a range of topics that include social studies and science themes. The program has 20 books that differentiates between non fiction and fiction and fiction book follows the topic or themes that is shared by non fiction book. Level three is truly projected to move students towards reading independence by using the words taught in levels one and two as models for teaching 23 onsets and 20 word families. Books comes in reproducible format with 20 level three books and reproducible book is identical to the program books except they vary in the colors black and white. 20 per set.
